Rimini Porto Sicuro

Sea, music, and dance — as communication vehicles capable, better than others, of breaking down walls and differences — were the essences of Rimini Porto Sicuro (Rimini Safe Harbor), the event which took place on Thursday 20 June and which proposed, from 6.00 pm until late in the night, a rich program.

Organized by the Municipality of Rimini with the Arcobaleno Association, the initiative was born on the occasion of the “International Refugee Day” — called by the United Nations to commemorate the approval in 1951 of the Convention relating to the Refugee Statute — and to raise public awareness.

Participants: Movimento Centrale, Modena City Ramblers, Pierpaolo Capovilla, Paolo Benvegnù, Nicholas Ciuferri, O Zulù (frontman of the 99 Posse), Punkreas, Giulio Casale, La Crus, Marlene Kuntz and, of course, many people from Rimini as well as many tourists. All together in Rimini Porto Sicuro, united, to deal one of the salient themes of our time: the journey of migrants.
