We worked with Hamer People for the UN’s International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, a universal framework of minimum standards for the survival, dignity and well-being of indigenous peoples.
As stated by UN, while the landmark declaration has achieved some successes, indigenous peoples continue to face exclusion, marginalization and challenges to their right to self-determination, traditional lands, education and more.
